Overview In this role you will manage high-severity professional liability claims (D&O and E&O) for public companies and financial institutions. You'll lead investigations, analyze coverage, assess liabilities and damages, and coordinate settlements within authority. You will work with coverage counsel and external partners to shape resolution strategies, often involving multi-million dollar exposures. This is a cross-functional, high-impact position in a collaborative claims team.

Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of highly complex litigated claims with large exposures, including coverage verification and developing resolution strategies
- Investigate and gather evidence to determine liability and damages; verify facts and policy coverage
- Review policy language, interpret coverage, and estimate claim valuations; reserve appropriately
- Negotiate complex settlements and participate in mediations and settlement conferences; attend trials as needed
- Manage claim budgets, authorize payments within authority, and ensure timely, high-quality service
- Identify salvage/subrogation opportunities and refer for further investigation as needed
- Collaborate with coverage experts, counsel, insureds, brokers, and other insurers to coordinate resolution
- Mentor and train less experienced Claim Professionals; stay compliant with legal/regulatory requirements
- Prepare loss summaries for senior management and keep leadership informed of significant risks

- License in Insurance Adjuster (within 90 days where applicable)
