Overview In this role you contribute to developing and scaling new post-etch, post-ash and post-CMP cleaners for advanced IC technologies. You work with the Wet Lab team to blend formulations, test stability, and support pilot-line activities. You'll operate and maintain characterization tools and assist with data, documentation, and inventory. This position offers hands-on lab work and collaboration to bring novel cleaners from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities- Assist design, development and commercialization of new cleaners for IC technologies
- Mix, filter, and document new specialty cleaners and etchants
- Test cleaner formulations for shelf life and stability
- Back up SEM/FIB and XRR operator
- Perform other duties as assigned by Wet Lab Supervisor
- Investigate and develop new chemical formulations for cleaning wafers with IP landscape awareness
- Operate wet lab characterization tools
- Coordinate with formulated products staff on chemistry and hardware supply needs
- Track chemical and wafer inventory
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in chemistry or material science
- 1-5 years in a production lab
- Experience operating SEM/FIB or willingness to learn
- Comfort handling chemicals
- Experience with pilot line scale chemical manufacturing preferred
- Excellent communication, data collection, time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of design of experiments and proficiency in technical writing
- Excellent instructions-following ability
- Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, statistical software)
- Working knowledge of JMP desirable
