Overview In this role you will drive in vivo pharmacology and translational immunology studies to support target validation and candidate selection for molecular glue degrader programs. You will lead preclinical studies, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and mentor junior team members. The work combines hands-on in vivo and flow cytometry-based immune profiling with data interpretation to inform mechanism of action and pharmacodynamics. This is a chance to shape preclinical strategies within a collaborative, cancer-immunology focused environment.
Responsibilities- Design, execute and manage in vivo pharmacology studies for target validation and mechanism-of-action investigations
- Serve as study lead for preclinical studies across in vivo, biomarker, and discovery teams
- Analyze and present results to project teams and leadership; troubleshoot challenges and propose solutions
- Coordinate study planning and resource allocation for in vivo activities across programs
- Perform and oversee complex in vivo mouse studies including dosing and sample collection; ensure adherence to IACUC and welfare standards
- Design, optimize, and execute multicolor flow cytometry experiments with panel development, data analysis, and QC
- Process blood and tissue samples for immune profiling and biomarker assessment; perform ex vivo and in vitro assays (cytokine analyses, ELISA/MSD, Western blotting)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop pharmacodynamic endpoints
- Provide scientific mentorship to Research Associates and junior scientists; support vivarium activities
- Maintain thorough experimental records and contribute to SOPs and best practices
Key requirements- PhD in immunology, pharmacology, biology, or related field with 0-6 years post-doc or MS with 5+ years or BS with 8+ years relevant experience
- Strong understanding of immunology and interpretation of immune profiling data from preclinical studies
- Experience designing and executing in vivo pharmacology studies in mice
- Expertise in flow cytometry including panel design, instrument operation, data analysis, and interpretation
- Experience with blood and tissue processing and immune cell isolation
- Experience with Western blotting including automated platforms (e.g., Jess)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple studies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Onsite presence at least 3 days a week and willingness to work flexible hours
- Preferred: experience in inflammatory/immunology/oncology autoimmune disease; cytokine analysis platforms (MSD, ELISA) and qPCR; spectral flow cytometry and FlowJo; mouse breeding and genetically engineered models
