Overview In this role you will manage and resolve highly complex Financial Lines claims (Private and NFP D&O), working with insureds, attorneys and brokers to investigate, coordinate discovery, and strategize litigation. You review coverage, determine liability and damages, and set reserves while securing information to negotiate settlements. You will be highly organized, self-motivated, and communicative, with the opportunity to mentor others in a hybrid work environment across multiple CNA locations.

Responsibilities- Manage an inventory of highly complex Financial Lines claims with large exposures
- Verify policy coverage and conduct investigations following company protocols
- Lead investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages
- Develop and execute claim resolution strategies with internal/external partners
- Manage claim budgets and authorize disbursements within authority
- Identify subrogation, salvage, or fraud opportunities and refer for further action
- Provide timely updates to senior leadership and maintain thorough documentation
- Mentor and train less experienced Claim Professionals
- Stay compliant with state/local regulatory requirements and current industry trends
Key requirements- Thorough knowledge of the commercial insurance industry, products, policy language, coverage, and claim practices
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical mindset with ability to resolve ambiguous and complex problems
- Proven negotiation of complex settlements
- Experience interpreting complex specialty insurance policies and coverage
- Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and readiness to learn business-related software
- Typically 5-7 years of relevant claim handling experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; JD preferred
