Overview In this role, you support integrating SMS practices with ORAT and airport activation activities to help meet 14 CFR Part 139 requirements. You will work across teams to manage risk, ensure regulatory alignment, and enable safe, efficient transitions in active airport environments. The position blends remote work with periodic client-site activity and travel. You'll shape safety culture, deliver risk assessments, and contribute to complex construction and activation programs. Responsibilities- Support SMS implementation within ORAT and readiness programs
- Facilitate and document Safety Risk Assessments (SRAs) and support risk management
- Develop hazard tracking tools, risk registers, and documentation
- Monitor mitigation, safety performance, and conduct safety assurance activities
- Conduct SMS training and create promotion materials to foster safety culture
- Conduct 14 CFR Part 139 assessments and audits of airport operations (including active construction)
- Interpret and apply regulatory requirements in operational, safety, and construction contexts
- Identify compliance gaps and assist in practical, risk-based solutions
- Assist in ORAT integration and readiness planning with stakeholder coordination
- Provide safety support for airfield construction and operational interfaces
- Coordinate with operations, contractors, and project teams for safe continuity of operations
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation
- Develop client deliverables including presentations and executive briefs
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field
- Demonstrated experience with 14 CFR Part 139 airport certification requirements
- Experience in airfield operations or managing airfield construction in active airports
- Ability to apply regulatory requirements to operational, safety, and construction contexts
- Familiarity with SMS principles and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Willingness to travel for client engagements
