Overview In this contract role, you will translate business requirements into technical designs for Oracle CC&B-based solutions, collaborating with functional designers and guiding offshore development. You author detailed technical designs, support offshore implementation, and ensure coding aligns with standards through code reviews. You may contribute to hands-on development and mentoring of junior developers. This position centers on delivering a consolidated end-state design for CC&B platforms and related technologies, enabling scalable, reliable billing and payments implementations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Functional Designer to clarify Design and Future State processes
- Author Technical Design deliverables with detailed specifications for offshore execution
- Support offshore/onshore developers to ensure alignment with design expectations
- Conduct code-walk-throughs and approve Unit Tests, enforcing coding standards
- Possibly perform hands-on development and provide technical guidance to the team
Key requirements- Broad functional knowledge of CC&B with core areas (Billing, Payments, Credit & Collection, Field)
- Strong Oracle Utilities CC&B 2.4 experience and base configuration depth
- Experience assessing requirements against existing CCB implementations to design consolidated end state
- Proven authoring of Technical Designs across CCB technologies and mentoring developers
- Fluency in OUAF (Oracle Utilities Application Framework)
- Fluency in CCB data model with strong SQL and relational DB knowledge
- Technical knowledge in at least two of: Micro-Focus Cobol, Java/HQL, CCB Configuration Tools (Scripting, portals, UI maps, Zones)
- Preferred experience with XAI Web Services, Oracle 12c Triggers and Stored Procedures
- Willingness to serve as Off-Shore Liaison (single point of contact, support offshore understanding)
