Overview In this role you optimize the lab's analytical methods, instrumentation, and resources to generate accurate data at low cost within a safe, compliant environment. You will work within the lab to develop methods and SOPs, train technicians, and troubleshoot instruments, ensuring data quality through established systems. You'll provide regulatory support to keep operations compliant and support customer complaint investigations. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, process alignment with ISO/EPA standards, and maintenance of a clean, orderly lab culture. Responsibilities- Operate lab instrumentation and equipment proficiently
- Develop analytical methods and SOPs; train technicians
- Troubleshoot and repair analytical instruments
- Interpret and review analytical results; monitor data via TQMS
- Provide regulatory support to operating units; enable smooth operations
- Develop, apply, and optimize methods based on operational needs
- Assist in investigation of customer complaints
- Study processes to identify improvements and promote best industry practices
- Coordinate lab activities; guide technicians; initiate improvement projects
- Review SOPs annually and update as needed
- Promote Total House Keeping Maintenance (THM) and environmental cleanliness programs
Key requirements- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a chemical laboratory
- Excellent PC skills and applicable software
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Good business writing capability
- Deep knowledge of analytical chemistry and instrumentation
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from commercial plant operations
