Construction Project Manager - Solar (Multiple Locations)

Overview

In this role you drive the delivery of EPC/construction projects from pre-construction to warranty, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You work closely with engineers, clients, and field teams to plan, contract, and manage subcontractors, risk, and documentation. You lead staffing, permits, risk reviews, and project reporting to executives, while promoting health and safety and fostering cross-functional collaboration. This position offers impact through hands-on project execution and strategic coordination across global practices.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities and multiple projects
  • Develop project plans including scheduling, cost development, staffing, and procurement
  • Manage client relations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Coordinate risk reviews and liaise with Legal as required
  • Implement project execution plans (safety, QA, subcontracting, staffing)
  • Direct RFP/bid processes and subcontractor selection
  • Monitor budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and forecasts
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables and contract administration (RFIs, submittals, change management)
  • Oversee invoicing, closeout, and warranty processes
  • Mentor interns and junior staff; provide performance feedback
  • Manage labor costs, craft classifications, and equipment inventory
  • Ensure compliance with permits, insurance, bonds, and regulatory requirements
  • Support government, industry, and public communications on project matters
  • Maintain documentation control and risk mitigation across projects
  • Review field reports and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Facilitate site turnover and project closeout
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Construction Management or related field
  • 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience on construction sites or program management in multiple industries is preferred
