Overview In this role you will define and lead diagnostic strategies for oncology programs, aligning biomarker goals with clinical development plans. You will manage integrated diagnostic plans across global teams, coordinating internal resources and external partners to meet timelines. You will head diagnostic sub-teams, provide subject-matter expertise, and ensure diagnostics are integrated into program strategy and regulatory pathways. Responsibilities- Define and align diagnostic strategies with biomarker objectives and portfolio plans
- Develop and oversee integrated diagnostic project plans with cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead Diagnostic Sub Teams across global regions and with external partners
- Provide diagnostic SME support to multidisciplinary drug development teams
- Represent diagnostics on global program teams and ensure integration into strategy and timelines
- Collaborate with biomarker, regulatory, clinical development, operations, quality, and external stakeholders to craft plans
- Work independently in a fast-paced matrix environment to marshal resources and align development
- Lead and co-lead diagnostic partner teams to execute strategies across programs
Key requirements- Experience in diagnostic strategy or assay development supporting oncology drug development
- 10+ years with BA/BS, 8+ years with MA/MS, or 2+ years with MD or PhD in a scientific field
- Strong track record in developing diagnostic strategies that align biomarkers with clinical objectives
- Knowledge of diagnostic platforms (IHC, NGS, flow cytometry, digital pathology)
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and integration of timelines across global development
- Proven leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and independent work capability
- Publication record; familiarity with IP and contracting terms desirable
