Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal Inland Marine business per guidelines and authority
- Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and customers
- Identify and pursue new business while maintaining profitability
- Analyze exposures, assess risk acceptability, and determine pricing and coverage strategies
- Conduct agency, broker, and customer visits to strengthen risk understanding
- Collaborate with underwriting, risk engineering, claims, and sales partners to deliver solutions
- Manage an assigned portfolio to achieve growth, retention, and profitability
Key requirements- 3+ years of P&C commercial underwriting experience, preferably Inland Marine, Property, Construction, or related lines
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consultative customer service
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
