Overview In this role you will plan, install, and test electrical wiring and equipment to build safe, operational systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to interpret plans, complete installations, and verify performance while maintaining documentation and compliance. You'll contribute to project handoffs, material management, and startup activities, ensuring on-time delivery and safety. This position offers hands-on impact in field installations with opportunities to mentor junior staff and support commissioning. You drive reliable electrical solutions that meet codes and client needs.
Responsibilities- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring per specs and codes
- Connect wires and assemble components to form complete systems
- Test circuits and equipment using meters and testing devices to ensure safety and compatibility
- Install conduits, pipes, and pull wires through conduits to complete circuits
- Work from ladders/scaffolds/roofs to install or repair electrical systems
- Prepare as-built documentation and submit to Design team
- Prepare labor and expense reports, timelines, and project documentation
- Participate in project hand-off meetings and coordinate installation resources
- Review plans, submittals, and site information to ensure conformance to codes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and building codes
- Mentor and train junior Controls Installation Specialists
- Support startup procedures and minor control programming adjustments by directive
- Manage backlog and communicate status to field personnel and leadership
