Overview As a Performance Architect, you will lead performance testing and tuning initiatives to ensure scalable, reliable web applications. You will advise on testing approaches and tool choices, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to define requirements and guide implementation. You will design performance test plans, create and execute scripts, and analyze results to drive optimization. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and operations to deliver high-performing software solutions at scale.
Responsibilities- Lead performance testing strategy and tuning opportunities across applications
- Advise on testing approaches and tool selection for performance engagements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance requirements and provide technical guidance during implementation
- Create and execute performance test scripts; report results for websites and web apps
- Monitor server resources (DB pools, threads, JMS queues, etc.) and perform analysis
- Author performance test plans, workload analyses, and estimates for releases
- Manage multiple releases and prioritize tasks for upcoming releases
Key requirements- Strong experience in performance testing and tuning engagements
- Ability to advise on performance testing approaches and tools
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders to define requirements
- Proficiency with Load Runner, VSTS, JMeter
- Unix/Linux skills and shell scripting for data gathering
- Knowledge of JVM tuning, GC, thread dump analysis
- DB familiarity: SQL/PL-SQL, Oracle tools like TOAD
- Experience in test design, workload analysis, and effort estimation
