Job description

Overview

In this role you will lead HR operations for a Las Vegas-based senior living community, ensuring staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance with state regulations. You will partner with leadership to implement HR programs, train staff, and manage workplace investigations and leave processes. You'll drive program improvements, support corporate HR initiatives, and act as a liaison between the community and the corporate office. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented role that shapes a positive work environment and resident-facing outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Direct HR policies, programs, and procedures across the community
  • Manage staffing, onboarding, and orientation processes
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and development programs
  • Administer compensation, benefits communication, payroll, and leave management
  • Coordinate safety, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims administration
  • Lead HR training on procedures, systems, and labor laws
  • Guide separation notices and exit interviews; suggest improvements to retention and culture
  • Represent the community in unemployment hearings and partner with third-party administrator
  • Ensure compliance with RCFE, ABE, OSHA, and state regulations; manage posting requirements
  • Collaborate with corporate HR on program development and benefits open-enrollment events
  • Monitor department budget and facilitate HR clerical tasks as needed
  • Communicate employee benefits and liaise with corporate office
  • Support community programs and events related to HR initiatives
  • Reconcile HR processes with collective bargaining agreements and labor law requirements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to HR (HR, Public Administration, Business)
  • Three to five years of progressive HR experience in employee and labor relations
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Experience implementing HR programs and advising management and employees
