Senior People Partner

Overview

As a People Partner, you partner with leaders to strengthen teams, coach managers, and improve organizational effectiveness within Zipline's fast-growing SG&A teams. You help guide talent decisions, support development, and address complex people challenges during rapid scale. You work closely with People Operations and Recruiting to improve the employee experience and uphold Zipline's culture and values. This role offers meaningful ownership and the chance to shape how a mission-driven, high-growth organization builds its people capability. You'll be at the center of decisions that elevate performance and trust across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Guide talent decisions with leaders on hiring, performance, and promotions
  • Coach managers on performance feedback, development, difficult conversations, and change
  • Support learning and development by identifying capability gaps and connecting to growth opportunities
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues with discretion, in partnership with Legal and senior People Partners
  • Collaborate with People Operations and Recruiting to improve the employee lifecycle experience
  • Reinforce culture and accountability by setting clear expectations and providing direct feedback
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in HR or People Partnering supporting managers in a fast-paced environment
  • Solutions-focused approach to organizational and people challenges
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, objectivity, and discretion
  • Ability to build trust quickly and provide candid guidance to managers
  • Experience using people data and business context to inform decisions
  • Confident coaching through performance management and employee development
  • Curiosity, low ego, and adaptability to evolving business needs
