Overview In this role you will support the Project Manager to maintain efficient organization and reporting for personnel, ensure effective resource use, and oversee project controls and environmental compliance on a high-profile infrastructure program. You will work within a cross-functional team on the Gateway Program including the Hudson Tunnel Project, shaping delivery and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager with organisation and reporting structures for project personnel
- Advise on staffing, team management, and resource allocation
- Assist with contract administration and coordination with partners and stakeholders
- Participate in steering committee and standards meetings; integrate package activities
- Coordinate procurement, PM issues, and scope packaging decisions
- Publish meeting minutes; develop presentations, technical briefs, and reports
- Handle special requests and technical evaluations (environmental and design reviews)
- Oversee environmental monitoring and compliance programs
- Implement environmental control processes and hazardous materials tracking
- Review construction environmental control plans and support soils and materials management
- Oversee grants administration, Buy America compliance, and community engagement
- Lead project controls, schedule, cost estimating, and budget management
- Oversee document/records controls, change management, and dispute resolution
- Review and verify contractor invoicing and construction documents
- Lead interface management and planning/tracking for packages
- Oversee site supervision and field management; ensure compliance with plans
- Review/process construction documents, precondition surveys, and mitigation plans
- Lead quality management plan implementation and quality audits
- Support testing and commissioning planning for package systems
- Support BIM technologies and processes development
- Oversee asset maintenance planning and provide maintenance strategy advice
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project or construction management on large-scale infra projects
- Experience with federally funded projects and regulatory/environmental compliance is preferred
- Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost estimating, and document management
- Familiarity with environmental compliance, safety management, and QA processes
- Proficiency with project management software and BIM technologies
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement and reporting
- Understanding of federal, state, local codes, standards, and permitting processes
