Overview In this role you will serve as in-house Senior Litigation Counsel, handling a broad portfolio of intellectual property, commercial, and entertainment-related disputes globally. You will advise internal business clients, manage disputes, and litigate as counsel-of-record, collaborating with outside counsel as needed. The position involves strategy, investigations, and e-discovery, with a focus on risk management and resolution. You will work closely with senior in-house litigators to shape litigation strategy and protect MGA's brands and products. Responsibilities- Analyze claims and develop litigation and early case-resolution strategy
- Conduct fact investigations and legal research
- Draft legal filings, pleadings, and discovery
- Manage federal and state court proceedings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
- Advise business clients and management on claims strength, disputes, and resolution
- Negotiate and document dispute resolutions
- Respond to third-party subpoenas
- Manage outside counsel relationships as needed
- Issue and manage litigation holds
- Oversee and supervise e-discovery
Key requirements- JD from an accredited law school
- Bachelor's degree (4-year undergraduate)
- 10-12 years of litigation experience with deposition and trial experience
- Must be admitted to practice in California
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
- Well organized, flexible, multitasking
- Self-motivated, able to work independently
- Good judgment and decision-making
- Experience with state and federal electronic court filing systems
- E-discovery management
