Overview In this role you drive the successful delivery of EPC/construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, balancing safety, quality, schedule, and budget. You will lead site operations, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and maintain client and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, compliant project execution. The position emphasizes safety leadership, risk management, and rigorous documentation across one or more projects. You will partner with engineering and legal to resolve issues and optimize project performance.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure successful project execution across one or more projects
- Lead planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and objective setting for projects
- Develop and manage client relationships, support proposals, and coordinate project items with clients
- Negotiate prime, CM, and subcontract contracts and change orders; manage risk reviews
- Implement project execution plans (safety, quality, subcontracting, staffing, procurement) and staff construction teams
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and optimize cost-effective staff utilization
- Manage downstream RFP/bid process, scope of work, bidder development, evaluation, and award recommendations
- Oversee reporting (budgets, cash flow, status) and present to management and clients
- Collaborate with engineering to align deliverables with project schedule and requirements
- Develop contract administration processes (RFIs, submittals, changes, closeout, claims mitigation)
- Oversee invoicing, commissioning/startup coordination, and project documentation control
- Ensure compliance with permits, insurance, taxes, licensures, and bonding; conduct safety, quality, progress, and financial audits
- Mentor interns and field staff; provide performance feedback and staffing development
- Maintain relationships with trades, manage labor agreements, and oversee craft training and progression
- Monitor craft classifications, labor burdens, and equipment inventory; manage labor rates and efficiency
- Prepare turnover, warranty, and closeout documentation; support government and industry communications
- Travel as required and adhere to company policies and standards
Key requirements- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field; 7 years of relevant project management experience in construction
- Excellent MS Office skills; familiarity with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software (experience preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle large workloads in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- Experience on construction sites or program management across multiple sectors (aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, water) preferred
