Overview

As a Client Manager, you ensure exceptional service by actively overseeing client accounts, guiding the Client Service team, and leveraging resources to deepen client relationships. You will handle complex, self-funded accounts and collaborate with senior teammates to deliver client-ready materials and renewals. You drive a smooth client service cycle and support cross-functional Gallagher capabilities. This is an opportunity to shape client outcomes while upholding Gallagher's standards and growth mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Manage increasingly complex client accounts with a focus on self-funded business
  • Create effective client deliverables using Gallagher resources and tools
  • Support the employee benefits Client Service Cycle to ensure a seamless renewal process (target 95% retention)
  • Resolve service-related issues independently and escalate when needed
  • Prepare RFPs, coordinate vendor responses, support negotiations, analyze proposals, and develop client presentations
  • Cross-sell or cross-solve with clients to communicate additional Gallagher resources (Pharmacy Practice, Retirement Services, HR Consulting, Voluntary Benefits)
  • Guide and support new hires and account associates
  • Participate in internal professional development programs to understand the insurance industry and Gallagher processes
  • Model the highest ethical standards and promote The Gallagher Way
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years client service and/or claims management experience OR High School degree/GED with 8+ years client service and/or claims management experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Life and Health licensing is required
  • Preferred: previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
