Laboratory Coordinator I (Nights/Weekends) - Dermatology

In this role you perform basic diagnostic lab work to isolate and identify microbial pathogens from clinical specimens, primarily during nights and weekends. You work in certified labs within the Dermatology setting, supporting routine testing and instrument operation. You'll contribute to quality control, evaluate new equipment, and assist with special projects, helping to ensure accurate results and high standards of patient care. This position offers hands-on lab experience within a leading academic health system and a mission-driven environment.

• Perform basic and routine diagnostic procedures for isolation and identification of microbial pathogens from clinical specimens
• Prepare specimens and operate automated analyzers; may perform manual tests per instructions
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instrumentation and factors affecting test results
• Familiarize with the various testing procedures performed in the laboratory
• Conduct or assist in special projects, evaluate new products and instrumentation, and perform quality control procedures
• Perform other related duties

• Associate degree or combination of equivalent lab experience and education
• No experience required but some lab exposure preferred
