Overview

In this role you will lead clinical research design and manage multidisciplinary projects at St. Jude, focusing on biobehavioral health outcomes for pediatric survivors. You will collaborate with faculty, project coordinators, clinical research associates, and other researchers on grant-funded studies, conduct literature reviews, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, and engage in clinical interventions research. The position emphasizes independent research, protocol development, and ensuring human subjects protections. You will gain exposure to neuroimaging and neuromodulation methods, contributing to advances in pediatric neurodegenerative and mental health outcomes. This is a full t

Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical research design and implementation activities (experimental design review, QC, data collection instrument development, protocol compliance)
  • Assist with and oversee large, multidisciplinary research operations and staff instruction
  • Oversee execution of multiple concurrent projects/studies
  • Coordinate engagement with study participants and related outcomes (consent, data entry, specimens)
  • Coordinate communication with principal investigators across multiple sites
  • Present and publish results to internal and external audiences
  • Provide training and guidance to staff
  • Maintain compliant data handling and safety procedures
  • Develop and implement research procedures and protocols
  • Lead data analysis, write reports and publications
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing to ensure project coverage
Key requirements
  • MD or PhD in relevant scientific field
  • 2+ years relevant research experience in clinical/population-based outcomes and health behavior research
  • Experience in study design methodology, protocol development, study conduct, and analysis
  • Experience working in a project-oriented matrixed team environment preferred
  • Proven performance in prior roles
  • Knowledge of complex, multimodal neuroimaging analyses (preferred)
  • Experience with neuroimaging and blood-based biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases (preferred)
