Overview In this role you will advance targeted delivery strategies for oligonucleotides within Alnylam's Delivery Biology team. You will work across tissue and cell types to develop delivery solutions that align with clinical programs, collaborating with medicinal chemistry, core delivery technology, and targets groups. You will design and interpret in vitro and ex vivo assays to evaluate delivery efficiency and outcomes, and mentor junior scientists. This is a hands-on lab position at our Cambridge site with a focus on translating delivery concepts into therapy candidates.

Responsibilities- Develop and apply assays and strategies to enable tissue-specific delivery of oligonucleotide conjugates
- Design, execute, and interpret in vitro and ex vivo delivery assays
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to expand delivery into new cell types and tissues
- Communicate data and rationale transparently to team and leadership
- Mentor and support the scientific development of junior staff
Key requirements- PhD in relevant life sciences field
- 2-3 years of experience in biopharma setting
- Expertise in tissue/cell biology with experience in multiple tissue types for targeted delivery
- Experience in nucleic acids or antibody-drug conjugates related to tissue-specific delivery is a plus
- Demonstrated scientific rigor, attention to detail, and data reproducibility
