Overview As a Research Laboratory Technician at TTUHSC, you support an assigned lab, develop procedures, and conduct experiments to advance biomedical research. You will work under a principal investigator, maintain safety and documentation, and help manage laboratory resources. The role blends hands-on wet-lab work with data summarization and occasional supervision of students. Responsibilities- Maintain lab notebooks, protocols, and safety records
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of lab and equipment
- Order and manage supplies and consumables with PI approval
- Maintain functioning essential equipment (freezers, incubators, etc.)
- Safeguard research resources (cells, samples, perishables) and remediate malfunctions
- Plan, design, and conduct experiments; summarize data for PI
- Supervise and assist other lab personnel and students
- Occasional duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in sciences or equivalent experience (4 years)
- Experience in a laboratory setting; ability to substitute experience for education
