Overview As Construction Project Manager II, you will lead medium-to-large HVAC and plumbing builds, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery with quality and safety at the forefront. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients from pre-construction through closeout, maintaining cost control and contract compliance. Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day execution of HVAC and plumbing scopes, ensuring alignment with plans, codes, and quality standards
- Prepare and oversee contract documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders for compliance
- Initiate and manage RFIs, change orders, and field clarifications to minimize schedule and cost impacts
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and vendors, monitor performance, and resolve disputes to protect schedule and quality
- Conduct site walkthroughs and inspections, document findings, and drive corrective actions
- Develop and maintain project schedules with short-interval planning and cross-trades coordination
- Manage cost control: budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and monthly job-cost reports
- Lead project closeout: punch lists, commissioning support, record docs, warranties, turnover
- Maintain vendor relations and procure long-lead equipment; review submittals for compliance
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams; provide status reports and participate in meetings
- Promote safety and regulatory compliance across the project site
Key requirements- 3+ years of PM experience in mechanical construction with HVAC and plumbing expertise
- Experience with RFIs, contract docs, change orders, and closeout procedures
- Vendor and subcontractor management with negotiation and oversight
- Site walkthroughs and inspections with corrective action coordination
- Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and job-cost reporting
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and commissioning of mechanical systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders
