Overview

In this role you support the business by reviewing, negotiating, and managing contracts to enable business plan goals while minimizing risk. You lead the site compliance program and ensure adherence to government contracting rules. You translate complex commercial and legal scenarios into actionable plans for the business and maintain a secure, traceable contract archive. You also develop training and drive continuous improvements in contract management aligned with Crane's processes.

Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate contracts for customers, suppliers, distributors, and sales representatives
  • Draft and amend major account, licensing, NDA, and terms & conditions agreements to minimize Crane's risk
  • Ensure compliance with Crane contract policies and procedures; coordinate with legal teams as needed
  • Maintain government contract compliance and participate in incident evaluation and reporting as required
  • Prepare contracts for internal review and approval; advise on contractual responsibilities and penalties
  • Manage contract tracking/archiving system for traceability and security
  • Develop and present contracts training for business teams
  • Support enterprise compliance initiatives at local and cross-site levels
  • Focus areas may include commercial, government, compliance, and/or IP contracts
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management
  • Represent Crane in finalizing terms and conditions with Customers, Suppliers, and partners
Key requirements
  • Five years of relevant experience in contracts management, contract law, or business management with government contracting experience
  • In-depth understanding of contract terms and risk management
  • Knowledge of regulations administered by US State, Commerce, and Treasury (ITAR, EAR, OFAC)
  • Proficient in conflict resolution, negotiations, time management, and strong communication and presentation skills
  • Degree in Law or equivalent contract education/certification
  • Preferred CCCM/CPCM/CFCM certifications or NCMA equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a US government security clearance; US Person status required
