Job description

Overview

In this role you will lead LC-MS-based characterization and quantitation for ADCs, antibodies, and small molecules to support oncology discovery. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate analytical methods, troubleshoot challenges, and push method performance. You will work hands-on with advanced instrumentation to enable early development programs and present findings to project teams. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position at the interface of analytical science and drug discovery.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical characterization and QC of ADCs, antibodies, and small molecules using LC-MS and HPLC (intact mass, de-glycosylation, reducing LC-MS, DAR, SEC, HIC, RP-HPLC, peptide mapping)
  • Prepare and analyze samples from purified proteins and biological matrices (plasma, serum, tissues)
  • Identify and characterize ADC metabolites from in vitro and in vivo studies using affinity capture, forced release, MS/MS, and SIM-MS
  • Develop, optimize, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods to improve performance
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation (Thermo Vanquish UHPLC-Orbitrap MS, Waters Acquity UPLC-SQD MS, Agilent HPLC, UV-Vis)
  • Evaluate and recommend new analytical technologies to expand capabilities
  • Document work in ELNs, maintain analytical databases, and prepare reports/project summaries
  • Present results to multidisciplinary project teams
  • Support lab operations and optimize analytical workflows and equipment utilization

  • Hands-on LC-MS, UV-Vis, and HPLC characterization of proteins and bioconjugates
  • Protein sample prep including deglycosylation, reduction, and enzymatic digestions of ADCs
  • Working knowledge of SEC, HIC, and reversed-phase HPLC
  • Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting LC-MS and HPLC instruments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present data to cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated collaboration with chemists, protein engineers, and biologists
