You will work as an independent contractor on forensic projects, communicating with clients to provide timelines and updates while delivering high-quality service. You support the company's mission in property insurance intelligence by shaping outcomes through precise analyses and professional reporting. This is a client-facing, self-driven position that relies on solid engineering judgment and written communication.
Responsibilities- Conduct site studies to evaluate damages on residential structures
- Write and deliver detailed technical reports on completed projects
- Maintain clear, timely communication with clients and document updates
- Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Key requirements- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of assignment
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering (or related disciplines)
- 2+ years of failure analysis experience; knowledge of residential construction and building codes
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong technical writing in Microsoft Word
- Proficiency with Word and general computer skills; access to internet and a laptop with Word and PDF editing software
- Ability to work independently without supervision; reliable equipment and mobility for site work
