Overview

In this in-office role, you will administer fiduciary accounts across trusts, investment management, and custodial services while guiding clients and internal teams. You'll partner with client teams to identify new fiduciary business and onboard clients, aligning with Truist Wealth goals. You'll ensure timely trust administration, compliance, and accuracy of document handling and tax matters. The position offers involvement in risk and regulatory processes and requires delivering clear fiduciary guidance to clients and colleagues. This is a client- and compliance-driven opportunity to shape trusted wealth management outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Understand financial and estate planning strategies and interpret fiduciary documents to deliver guidance to clients or client teams
  • Partner with client teams to drive fiduciary new business identification and onboarding
  • Collaborate with Client Advisors, Investment Portfolio Managers, Wealth Strategists, and external advisors to meet clients' goals
  • Oversee trust administration tasks including document interpretation, cash management, issue resolution, and file memorialization in iWork and Advisor Desktop
  • Coordinate annual Reg-9 administrative review and tax matters (1099s, 1041s, etc.)
  • Escalate matters to Risk Oversight, Legal, and Compliance as needed
  • Complete assigned projects within business priorities
  • Adhere to Truist policies and applicable laws (Reg 9, Discretionary Distribution, SOX/AML)
Key requirements
  • 10+ years as a relationship manager in Fiduciary Services, Private Wealth, or Institutional Investment Management with 5+ years in Trust Administration
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, fiduciary, and tax laws
  • Strong analytical and issue-resolution skills
  • Significant legal document interpretation skills
  • Very knowledgeable of banking and trust systems
  • Intermediate or advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office and database applications
  • Demonstrated organization skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex information clearly to clients and internal partners
  • Ability to mentor and coach Trust Advisors and be a brand ambassador within client engagements
