Overview

In this role, you design and lead robust testing strategies and automation for mechatronic ECUs. You align CI system evolution with VMEC requirements and the SDV Mechatronic Platform, communicating the strategy to leadership. You drive enhancements to CI, test infrastructure, and quality processes to improve reliability and feedback speed. You provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams to advance built-in quality practices and CI adoption. You will travel up to 10% and work in a hybrid setup, reporting to a local GM office.

Responsibilities
  • Design and architect testing strategies and automation frameworks for mechatronic systems
  • Align CI system design with VMEC user requirements and SDV Mechatronic Platform architecture
  • Communicate CI vision, roadmap, and improvement opportunities to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Identify and drive enhancements to CI systems, test infrastructure, and quality processes to improve reliability, coverage, and feedback speed
  • Provide technical leadership on test strategy, CI adoption, and built-in quality practices for mechatronic ECUs
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
  • Work in a hybrid setup (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years of relevant experience
  • 6 years of experience with Python and C/C++, with embedded software development
  • 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker) and source control platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Gerrit)
  • Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks and pipelines with integration to TestRail, Polarion, and JIRA
  • 2 years of experience with automotive embedded systems and communication technologies (CAN, Ethernet), Linux, AUTOSAR
  • Knowledge of software quality standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262 awareness) and testing approaches (BDD/TDD)
  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and co-simulation-based test environments and integrating test results into CI dashboards and quality metrics
