Overview In this role you will provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide construction initiatives. You will guide new builds, renovations, and fit-outs across a diverse real estate portfolio to deliver safely, on time, and within budget. You'll align construction execution with the capital strategy and governance framework, while embedding industry best practices. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive portfolio optimization, scalable delivery models, and operational efficiency. This is a high-impact role for shaping facilities that enable scientific and healthcare work at scale.

Responsibilities- Lead strategic planning and execution of construction programs including ground-up builds and complex interior fit-outs
- Translate capital plans into executable strategies optimized for cost, schedule, and quality
- Develop long-range roadmaps and standardized delivery models (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM at Risk, IDP)
- Oversee construction management activities across the portfolio and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Manage project controls: scheduling (CPM), cost management, forecasting, change control
- Oversee preconstruction activities: feasibility, budgeting, estimating, value engineering, risk assessments
- Partner with design/engineering to align design intent with cost targets and feasibility; promote early contractor involvement
- Establish industry-standard practices (PMBOK, CII, OSHA, building codes) and advocate lean, BIM, and modular methods
- Champion zero-incident safety culture and regulatory/compliance adherence
- Direct budgeting, contracting strategies, contractor prequalification, and performance evaluation
- Provide executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, risks and outcomes
- Lead and develop construction teams across geographies and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Key requirements- 12+ years in construction management with large-scale builds and complex fit-outs
- 8+ years leading large, multi-project portfolios and diverse teams
- 5+ years managing projects in highly regulated or complex environments (healthcare, laboratories, industrial, corporate real estate)
