Overview As a Project Architect with Stantec, you will lead architectural development for mission-critical/data-center projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically robust design and documentation. You will guide concepts through construction administration, maintaining constructability and quality across phases. The role blends leadership, technical coordination, and client interaction to advance complex, high-stakes projects. Responsibilities- Translate concepts into clear technical documentation using Revit and visualization tools
- Develop practically implementable design solutions aligned with project goals and client needs
- Support site planning, entitlements with civil and consultant teams
- Prepare and manage construction documents from schematic design through construction administration
- Coordinate architectural and engineering documentation, including QA/QC, detailing, and interdisciplinary coordination
- Assist with project schedules, scopes, staffing plans, and fee tracking
- Mentor team members and promote collaboration, accountability, and growth
- Perform code analysis, material evaluations, and specification coordination
- Support bidding and construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and field observations
- Stay current on codes, sustainable design practices, building technologies, and construction methods
- Clearly communicate technical and design solutions through presentations and stakeholder coordination
- Support business development through client interaction, presentations, and marketing efforts
- Maintain technical quality, documentation accuracy, and constructability across all project phases
Key requirements- Advanced Revit proficiency; AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools familiarity preferred
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams for integrated project delivery on complex projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, constructability, specifications, codes, and permitting
- Strong documentation, detailing, and construction administration capabilities
- Experience with project schedules, fee management, budgeting, client deliverables coordination
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, and field observations in construction admin
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with commitment to technical accuracy
- Ability to mentor teams and build collaborative working relationships
- Highly organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, deadline-driven
- Professional Architecture degree from a NAAB-accredited institution; current Architectural license; NCARB/LEED preferred
- 10+ years in commercial architecture and design, including 2+ years in Mission Critical/Data Center projects
