Overview In this role you will lead contract negotiations and administration for the High Consequence Missions (HCM) business, ensuring compliant, sound agreements with US Government customers. You will act as the main interface with clients during proposals, negotiations, and performance, driving governance across program teams. The position demands fast-paced execution, strong relationship-building, and focus on risk, compliance, and timely delivery. You will contribute to Nightwing's mission by shaping contracts that enable mission success and customer trust.
Responsibilities- Participate in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities
- Provide support to senior management on contractual and business issues
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts/modifications for compliance with internal policies and public law
- Summarize contract issues, research compliance, interpret regulations, identify risks and formulate recommendations
- Act as primary interface with customers during proposal, negotiations, and contract performance
- Negotiate sound business deals and ensure governance to the program team
- Collaborate effectively within the cross-business team (CBT) and with external/internal customers
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Manage relationships with US Government customers
Key requirements- Minimum 8 years of experience in Contract Management, Negotiations, or related fields
- U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance at day one
- Willingness to work onsite in Sterling, VA
- Knowledge of various contract types (Cost Reimbursement, FFP, T&M, IDIQ), NDAs, SOWs, Teaming Agreements
- Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop relationships with customers and internal partners based on trust
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of cost structures, development costs, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions
- Understanding of competitive procurements and ability to support high-quality proposals
- FAR/DFAR knowledge and ability to apply prime contractor flow-down provisions
- Education: Bachelor's in business/finance or higher; 8+ years relevant experience
