Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end contract management for a diverse portfolio supporting defense and civilian programs from the Fairfax, VA area. You will ensure compliant, competitive contracting actions aligned with FAR/DFARS and customer needs. The position emphasizes mentoring, cross-functional collaboration, and data-informed decision making to shape outcomes-based contracting. Responsibilities
  • Manage full lifecycle of standard and non-standard contracts, including negotiation, modifications, extensions, and closeout
  • Support proposal development with contract volumes, pricing inputs, and compliance checks
  • Lead contract negotiations with customers and partners per policies and requirements
  • Review estimates, pricing data, materials, service requirements, and performance criteria for compliance
  • Prepare bids and maintain contract-specific documentation and records
  • Serve as primary liaison with internal teams and external customers, advising leadership on rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyze contract data, performance metrics, and financial impacts to support decision-making
  • Develop and maintain contract-specific estimating tools and templates
  • Share knowledge through training, mentoring, and guidance to teammates
  • Maintain high organization, manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and program needs
Key requirements
  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelor in related field; 8 years with Masters; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 14 years relevant experience
  • Mentor and develop colleagues in contracting principles
  • Experience managing a large contract portfolio with high volume actions
  • Skilled in Cost-Type, FFP, and LH contracts
  • Experienced with NDAs, TAs, MOUs, IDIQs, and BOAs
  • Strong understanding of Outcomes-Based, Performance-Based, and X as a Service contracting models
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse internal partners and management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
