Overview In this role you will be the clinical executive leader for CaroMont Health's surgery service line, shaping performance across quality, patient experience, and financial outcomes. You work in a dyad with the Senior Service Line Administrative Director to drive growth, equity, and delivery excellence. You lead a multidisciplinary team to standardize practices, reduce variation, and adopt high-value care models. This position offers a strategic, impact driven opportunity to strengthen surgical programs and market position while aligning with enterprise goals.
Responsibilities- Co-develop and execute an integrated service line strategy with the Senior Director
- Define and track KPIs aligned with enterprise goals and CARES values
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including physicians, APPs, nursing, and support services
- Drive improvements in clinical outcomes, patient experience, and operational efficiency
- Reduce variation, standardize work, and expand clinical capabilities
- Support population health initiatives and the service line's value proposition
- Oversee a broad scope of surgical specialties and coordinate leadership across teams
- Commit to 16-20 hours per week in this leadership role
Key requirements- North Carolina Medical License
- Active privileges in General, Breast, Plastics, or Orthopedics at CRMC
- Employed in a full-time capacity by CaroMont Medical Group
- 5+ years on CRMC Medical Staff (preferred)
- Current participation in ED unassigned call (preferred)
- Prior formal leadership experience (preferred)
- Competencies in change management, leadership, negotiation, and clinical-administrative collaboration
