Client Service Executive - Commercial Insurance

Overview

In this role you drive retention and growth for assigned accounts within a client-focused team at Marsh McLennan. You lead the client service function, coordinating across Sales, Marketing and Risk & Loss partners to deliver tailored insurance solutions. You oversee renewal activities, proposals and coverage placement, ensuring high-quality service and timely deliverables. You engage with clients and internal teams to resolve issues, strengthen relationships and support business development. This position combines leadership, project coordination and deep insurance knowledge to shape client outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee ongoing account service activities
  • Prepare monthly production and activity reports
  • Manage/collect receivables with Client Sales Executive
  • Coordinate coverage placement and service team direction
  • Lead meetings with clients and deliver summaries, proposals, and policies
  • Maintain Insurance Summaries and update EAWs annually
  • Manage renewal process, gather underwriting information, and prepare proposals
  • Supervise and develop service team members; provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Assist in recruitment and conflicts resolution with HR and Operations leadership
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure deliverables meet requirements, cost and schedule
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of daily World Class Client service or 6 years of industry experience with 3+ years of client service
  • Valid California Fire & Casualty Solicitors license and valid driver's license
  • Advanced insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC
  • Strong understanding of insurance terminology, trends and lines of business
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to diverse groups
  • Organizational skills to manage renewals, proposals and coverage coordination
