Bilingual Physician Assistant (PA) Primary Care

Overview:
Our primary care practice in Brooklyn is seeking a Bilingual Physician Assistant (PA) fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese to provide direct patient care across a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. This full-time role offers the opportunity to support continuity of care and access for our local Chinese-speaking community.
Position Offers:
- Schedule: 8:30 AM 5:30 PM, 5 days a week, including one weekend day
- Pay: Starting at $80 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, including detailed history taking and physical examinations for adult and geriatric patients
- Formulate differential diagnoses and collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications under physician supervision, including monitoring for efficacy, side effects, and adherence
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and screenings, integrating results into care plans
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, and care plans accurately in the EHR
- Provide patient education and counseling on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications
- Coordinate care and communicate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in follow-up visits, chronic disease management, and ongoing monitoring
Qualifications:
- Active, current Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in New York
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese required
- Prior experience in a primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine outpatient practice preferred
- Familiarity with chronic disease management protocols and experience with multicultural patient populations preferred
