Overview In this role you lead field construction projects, guiding plan-to-execution efforts to meet budget, schedule, quality and safety targets. You work with management to coordinate methods, sequencing, manpower and materials, while developing Foremen/Leads on site. You ensure safety protocols, resolve field issues, and coordinate with subcontractors to keep the project on track. The position supports business development and estimating within your core competency and requires long hours and variable shifts. You will contribute to a safety driven, quality focused team that delivers projects with integrity and reliability.
Responsibilities- Plan and execute projects with management to ensure successful completion
- Supervise construction activities, including methods, sequencing, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedule
- Train and develop Lead personnel on projects
- Manage day-to-day field operations through assigned staff
- Create, monitor and adjust project schedules and critical path milestones
- Communicate site problems, conflicts, and schedule/quality issues to Project Manager
- Identify and resolve field construction problems proactively
- Coordinate with subcontractors to align materials, inspections, and schedules
- Ensure implementation and compliance with safety protocols and site safety plans
- Monitor safety program compliance and implement corrective actions
- Participate in monthly safety assessments and assist with incident investigations
- Monitor equipment needs, utilization, and maintenance
- Understand subcontractors' scopes and ensure schedules and quality meet contract requirements
- Work with General Contractor to ensure drawings and specifications compliance
- Provide input on cost and schedule forecasts to Project Manager
- Assist with monthly pay request reviews and change orders
- Perform project close-out and punch list completion
- Participate in business development and estimating activities
- Maintain equipment and tools for long-term use
- Maintain confidentiality of company information
Key requirements- Minimum 5 years of concrete construction supervisory experience
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and managing large teams
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to hold crews accountable for safe work practices and performance
- Foresight to anticipate and mitigate problems
- Conscientious approach to controlling job costs and schedules
- Strong leadership to influence and motivate crews
- Must have a valid Texas Driver License with clean record
