Overview In this Senior Project Manager role, you will lead New Construction Mechanical projects in Seattle, guiding plans, schedules, and scopes from start to finish. You will coordinate internal and external resources, communicate with clients and vendors, and manage safety and compliance. You'll contribute to McKinstry's mission to reduce waste and climate harm in the built environment by delivering efficient, safe, and cost-aware projects. Responsibilities- Lead projects from initiation to closeout and manage end-to-end delivery
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and scopes of work
- Coordinate internal and external resources for timely completion
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors; document discussions and decisions
- Support the RFP process and evaluate products/vendors
- Oversee submittal reviews and ensure contract drawings/specs are understood
- Maintain cost logs and provide timely project reporting
- Ensure safety standards and on-site compliance for subcontractors and personnel
- Define project roles and responsibilities; coordinate handoffs between departments
- Manage procurement activities for subcontracts and purchase orders
- Assess and document customer requirements and project changes
- Oversee pre-construction activities with field foremen and Business Manager
- Monitor site safety and mitigate risks; deliver accurate, timely data for forecasts
- Direct customer communications and presentations; identify new service opportunities
- Recruit, coach, and develop project team members; plan staffing and labor needs
- Contribute to McKinstry culture and policy implementation
- Other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 8+ years of project management experience in construction or related field
- BA/BS in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with General Contractors or major mechanical subcontractors
- Proficiency in scheduling tools: Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Suretrak
- Knowledge of construction management processes and financial acumen
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Project; SharePoint knowledge preferred
- RCDD or CPM designation is a plus
- Knowledge of construction financial programs; basic estimating skills preferred
