Overview In this role you lead the data migration workstream for a global SAP transformation, owning strategy, planning, and execution. You will guide a cross-functional team to ensure data integrity and compliant cutovers to SAP S/4HANA and ECC. You'll partner with business data owners, security, and audit to deliver a smooth, auditable migration at scale. This is a chance to shape data migration practices for a large enterprise and contribute to a transformative SAP program.
Responsibilities- Own data migration strategy, blueprint, and execution aligned with project timelines and business goals
- Lead end-to-end data migration lifecycle: extract, cleanse, transform, validate, load, reconcile
- Oversee data mapping from legacy to SAP S/4HANA/ECC for master and transactional data
- Manage data migration team including specialists, functional consultants, and technical staff
- Establish data governance standards, drive data cleansing and quality assurance
- Design automated data validation tools and reconciliation procedures
- Collaborate with data owners, functional leads, SAP Security/GRC to define access controls and SoD
- Ensure SOX/ITGC compliance and support internal/external audits
- Lead cutover readiness and post-go-live hypercare to minimize disruption
- Document migration processes, issues, and resolutions for knowledge transfer
Key requirements- 15+ years of overall SAP experience
- 5+ years leading large-scale SAP data migration projects
- 10+ years of SAP S/4HANA and ECC data structures and migration methodologies
- 7-8+ years hands-on with Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), and LSMW
- Strong ETL, data warehousing, and advanced SQL skills
- 7-8+ years familiarity with data governance and data quality tools (Syniti is a plus)
- 10+ years of understanding SAP modules and data structures (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP)
- 7-8+ years experience across blueprinting, testing, and validation of data migrations
- Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration; excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Bachelor in Computer Science (or related field); SAP certifications desirable
