Overview As a Biophysics Scientist at Amgen, you will contribute to discovering innovative biologics by applying state-of-the-art experimental methods. You will perform high-throughput binding affinity characterization using SPR and explore cross-species selectivity and mechanism of action. You'll generate and analyze data, communicate results clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and Computational Sciences to enhance molecular attributes with ML/AI. Responsibilities- Implement high-throughput binding affinity characterization on biologics using SPR
- Determine cross-species selectivity and study mechanism of action related to binding
- Generate and analyze scientific data with clear oral and written communication
- Collaborate with scientists across functions and interface with Computational Sciences to develop ML/AI models for molecular attributes
Key requirements- Doctorate (PhD) or PharmD or MD, or Master with 3 years of scientific experience, or Bachelor with 5 years of scientific experience
- Knowledge in protein chemistry, cell biology, biophysics, and SPR-based binding analysis
- Excellent laboratory work ethic and communication skills (written and oral)
- Flexibility, ingenuity, problem-solving, and multi-tasking ability
- Hands-on lab automation experience (e.g., Bravo, Hamilton) and cellular assays; membrane protein generation/characterization desired
