Overview As Data Center Project Manager, you'll lead construction-related efforts to upgrade or replace critical data center infrastructure. You'll coordinate electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines to boost reliability and efficiency. You'll collaborate across internal and external teams to deliver high-impact projects in live data centers, balancing scope, schedule, and budget. This role offers influence over building performance and scalable improvements in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee construction activities for infrastructure upgrades and end-of-life equipment replacements
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for initiatives
- Provide project management for resiliency-focused projects in data centers
- Review electrical design and optimization of existing facilities
- Review construction/project drawings and package deliverables
- Develop project scope, RFPs, and capital requests
- Create commissioning plans and oversee execution of commissioning
- Capture and report key metrics to stakeholders
- Review procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality turnovers
- Demonstrate leadership within CPI and across partner teams
- Travel to support projects in the EMEA region
Key requirements- 3+ years of vendor management experience
- 4+ years of data center or critical environment experience
- 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
