Overview In this role you drive ETL and data warehousing initiatives using Datastage within a global delivery context. You will work across cross-functional teams to implement and optimize DW/BI solutions, ensure DevOps discipline for deployments, and maintain Datastage and UNIX/IIS environments. You'll certify new Datastage versions, support patching, and contribute to standards and best practices. This position offers impact through performance tuning, governance of metadata, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver reliable data workflows.
Responsibilities- Hands-on Datastage DevOps with SVN, uBuild and uDeploy; IIS server manager involvement
- Shell scripting; manage NFS, NDM, SFTP, and server clustering
- Datastage server-side patch install support and maintenance
- Upgrade and maintain Autosys; Datastage sandbox certification for new versions
- Code retrofit to lower environments; performance optimization
- Monitor and maintain UNIX and Datastage servers
- Knowledge of IBM metadata, Fast Track, and lineage
- Understand End-to-End IIS architecture and establish standards and best practices
- Engage with stakeholders; document and publish to the team
- Collaborate with BAs, Data Architects, Developers, and DBAs to meet project objectives
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree
- At least 4 years in DW/BI and related tools; understanding of ETL/ELT
- At least 4 years in backend RDBMS (Oracle and DB2 preferred)
- At least 4 years hands-on Datastage design, development & build (v8.5+)
- At least 3 years SDLC experience
- At least 3 years DW/BI technologies and tools
- At least 3 years project life cycle experience on DW/BI projects
- At least 2 years in design and architecture reviews
