Overview

In this role, you will develop and integrate physics-based and machine learning models into our 3D GIS-enabled modeling software to analyze air blast, ground shock, and structural response phenomena. You will perform verification and validation to ensure realistic results and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance national security solutions. The work spans fast-running and high-fidelity simulations, offering ongoing opportunities to learn and apply new methods. This position combines software development with research to shape impact-focused modeling capabilities within a dynamic program.

Responsibilities
  • Develop or integrate modeling and simulation software for a range of fidelity
  • Perform verification and validation of models to ensure realism
  • Work within a 3D geometric modeling environment linked to GIS
  • Contribute to projects across air blast, ground shock, and structural response domains
  • Adapt models to evolving program needs and maintain software quality
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Science in Science or Engineering with 5-7 years of experience or Master in Science in Science or Engineering with 3-5 years or PhD with 0-2 years
  • Strong interest in developing modeling and simulation software in languages like C++, Python, Java
  • Desire to work in a dynamic team
  • Eligibility to apply for and hold a US security clearance
