Overview As Site Superintendent for a DoD POL facilities project in Sioux Falls, you drive on-site execution of field policies and safety standards to support DoD maintenance goals. You lead multi-disciplinary field activities, coordinate with engineers, safety and quality officers, and guide mobilization, sampling, deconning and field operations. The role blends hands-on supervision with problem solving to deliver compliant, on-time results in a demanding defense environment. You will work closely with project teams to maintain performance and safety while advancing project objectives.

Responsibilities- Coordinate with Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer on task prioritization and field interaction
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements as identified by functional officers
- Lead and assist field sampling teams to meet task requirements
- Implement field activities and prepare tasks for execution
- Assist in general labor tasks to support project objectives under Project Manager guidance
- Contribute approaches to overcome logistical or operational challenges during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and field operations
- Identify and, when appropriate, operate equipment to achieve task objectives during mobilization and field operations
- Serve as sample team lead to support compliance with project work plans, SOPs, and field practices
- Coordinate with project chemist, engineer, and geologist to prioritize field activities and assignments
- Be onsite during all turnover activities and attend in/out-briefs
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Key requirements- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activities
- Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements
- Eight years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projects
- Willingness to travel and work on-site with project management approval
- Five years of supervisory experience leading multi-disciplinary teams with experience managing schedule and budget for large construction projects
- Five years working as a Site Superintendent on DoD POL fuels projects within the last 10 years (two years could be at the assistant level)
- Experience as a Site Superintendent or Quality Control Manager on similar construction contracts, including fuels major trades
- Equivalent commercial experience acceptable if it includes these trades
- API 653 experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement
