Overview As Endowed Professor in Urban Health Equity, you will lead cutting-edge research on how social and cultural determinants shape health in urban settings and translate findings into policy and practice. You will teach undergraduates, contribute to general education, and build collaborations across Morehouse and partner institutions. The role combines scholarly leadership with community-engaged teaching and program development to advance health equity in Black communities. Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an active research program with potential for external funding
- Teach undergraduate courses and contribute to the General Education curriculum
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students
- Contribute to curriculum development and department programming
- Build collaborative partnerships with Morehouse and local communities
- Engage with AUCC departments and interdisciplinary programs across partner institutions
- Prepare annual activity reports and present research to campus and donors
Key requirements- PhD or terminal degree in an academic field of study
- Established research portfolio in urban health
- Ability to engage diverse students across a liberal arts curriculum
