Overview As a Senior Construction Manager, you lead complex civil and transportation construction projects within GFT's Construction Services team. You'll drive field execution, manage teams and clients, and ensure design and construction obligations meet regulatory and quality standards. You will shape project delivery, risk management, and cost control across multimodal roadway projects in SC. This role offers exposure to high-impact infrastructure work and opportunities to mentor teams while advancing resilient, sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities- Lead client meetings and coordinate with teaming partners
- Manage construction field personnel and project teams
- Prepare contracts, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
- Issue reports and correspondence; approve quantities and payment applications
- Negotiate and approve change orders; resolve technical issues
- Conduct constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk assessments
- Develop and monitor Quality Control/Assurance plans
- Oversee CEI activities and project proposals; support internal training
- Ensure financial and production success of Construction Service projects
- Plan and execute multiple projects; maintain safety compliance
Key requirements- 15 - 20 years of civil/ construction engineering experience
- Valid US driver's license; ability to drive to projects and meetings
- Prior experience on SCDOT construction projects preferred
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering or related ABET-accredited degree
- Licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina (or eligible with timelines)
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, plans, specs, and est. practices
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and QA/QC processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and diverse stakeholders
- Background check requirement for work with airports, municipalities, railroads, etc.
