Overview In this Principal Engineer role, you will steer the end-to-end design of modular, scalable SoCs for datacenter and agentic computing. You will shape architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor technical leaders to deliver high-quality, optimized solutions. You'll push novel architectural features and validate designs through rigorous testing and data-driven analysis. Responsibilities- Define and develop end-to-end SoC architectures with hardware, firmware, and specs to meet performance, timing, power, and area goals
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize IP blocks; define glue logic where needed
- Explore and implement new architectural features for next-generation products
- Develop test plans and infrastructure; use advanced data analysis to benchmark and drive improvements
- Collaborate with architects, design, system, and verification teams to align on constraints
- Review roadmaps and contribute to long-term innovation strategy for future SoCs
- Serve as domain expert and provide technical leadership across the organization and industry
- Mentor and develop other technical leaders and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
Key requirements- Deep expertise in SoC architecture development methodologies, system architecture, and microarchitecture
- Proven ability to define architecture features, registers specifications, and SoC development
- Proficiency in computer architecture fundamentals, CPU architecture, and systems thinking
- Strong problem solving and ability to evaluate feasibility tradeoffs for SoC optimization
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12+ years experience OR Master with 8+ years OR PhD with 6+ years
