Overview In this role you provide actuarial guidance for pricing, dividends, reserves and mortality/morbidity analyses while safeguarding the company's long-term financial strength. You'll supervise actuarial work, advise senior leaders, and stay current on techniques and regulations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and, when needed, represent the department on committees. This opportunity combines technical depth with leadership influence in a mission-driven insurance organization.
Responsibilities- Perform and/or supervise actuarial research to advise on product pricing, dividend setting, reserve levels, mortality/morbidity issues, and field compensation
- Identify and solve a wide variety of actuarial problems related to the Company's operation
- Stay up to date on actuarial techniques and on applicable laws and regulations
- Provide guidance to other officers or members of the department within the incumbent's field of expertise
- Represent the department or Company as a member of committees when required
Key requirements- FSA or equivalent qualifications with an additional year of actuarial service
