Overview In this role you will lead IT architecture initiatives at BCG Platinion, partnering with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions that enable public sector transformations. You'll tackle complex challenges at the intersection of people and technology, applying a discovery-driven approach to create end-to-end experiences. The role blends hands-on architecture with strategic business context, across federal and commercial engagements. You'll contribute to shaping next-gen platforms and drive impact through agile, collaborative delivery.

Responsibilities- Lead IT architecture design and development for complex engagements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to translate business needs into technical concepts
- Apply discovery-driven approach to create end-to-end IT architectures
- Provide subject matter expertise on architecture patterns and modernization
- Support agile engineering practices and tooling to enable delivery
- Travel to client sites as needed
Key requirements- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with >4 years in architecture
- Strong knowledge of multiple technology stacks and APIs/microservices
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and data analytics architecture
- Ability to explain complex technology to senior executives
- Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance (preferred for US federal)
- Proactive change-agent with collaboration and leadership skills
- Gen AI tool fluency (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude)
