Overview In this role you provide timely legal counsel to mortgage servicing and origination divisions, helping them achieve objectives while minimizing legal risk. You partner with Corporate Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence across the organization and support drafting contracts, policies, and product forms. You may interface with regulatory authorities and report on changes in law and regulatory trends. You work closely with cross-functional teams to sustain compliant operations and informed decision-making.

Responsibilities- Provide timely legal counsel to assigned divisions to support objectives and minimize risk
- Draft contracts, policies, and product forms; interface with regulatory authorities as needed
- Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to ensure organization-wide regulatory compliance
- Manage workload with the ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting demands
- Build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and external contacts
Key requirements- Law Degree required
- Admitted to practice law in the US
- Typically 1-3 years of professional experience in area of specialization
- Licensed to practice law, in good standing
- Knowledge of mortgage servicing and origination concepts
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
