Overview In this role you will oversee a portfolio of retail assets from the corporate HQ in Boca Raton, ensuring smooth daily operations and strong tenant relations. You will manage capital projects, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and vendor coordination to protect asset value. You'll work cross-functionally with leasing, accounting, and leadership to drive portfolio performance and compliance. This position offers exposure to a national retail portfolio and opportunities to shape property operations and capital improvements.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations of retail centers and single-tenant properties
- Serve as primary tenant contact ensuring high service levels
- Coordinate tenant improvements, build-outs, move-ins, and ongoing needs
- Manage preventive maintenance and ensure standards are met
- Lead capital improvement projects (roofing, paving, parking, façades, building systems)
- Coordinate construction with contractors, vendors, and tenants to stay on schedule and budget
- Prepare and manage operating budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and maintain provider relationships
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with leasing, accounting, asset management, and leadership to support performance
- Ensure lease compliance, safety standards, and regulatory alignment
- Assist with strategic planning to improve operations and asset value
Key requirements- 5-10+ years of commercial retail property management experience
- Experience managing retail centers or single-tenant portfolios
- Strong tenant coordination and relationship management
- Experience overseeing CAPEX projects and construction activities
- Proven ability to manage vendors, budgets, and multiple priorities
- Strong financial acumen with operating budgets and expenses
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- College degree not required; relevant CRE experience valued
